Wispy evening fog wafted leisurely through the lush meadow; lacing the newly born spring carnations with crystal water droplets. Untouched by man, the flowers and plants here thrived unnaturally. Surrounding the peaceful clearing was a proud forest of pines and evergreens speckled with the occasional coniferous tree. Tall grasses blanketed the bottom of the forest and hugged the trunks of the trees. Yearly summer fires kept away unwelcome underbrush, providing the perfect environment for the thick grass.
Somewhere in the rainbow of flora, a figure shifted. Abruptly, a creature emerged from a hidden burrow. At first glance, the beast appeared to be an overgrown weasel with its lengthy body and large, set back audits. But then, what of the retractable talons and thick, bushy tassle? As the creature leapt upon a nearby boulder, its fluffed bodice became visible. Slightly smaller than a mountain lion and with a groomed russet pelt accented with snowy white fox markings, the vixen scanned her territory with warm golden flecked eyes. Curling her unnaturally long, full tail about herself to warn off the morning chill, she watched the sun rise; streaking the heavens with a gorgeous mixture of pinks, blues, and oranges.
Awed by the beauty of the simply things that the humans took for granted, the vixen felt a bile hate for them rising up from her gut—literally. Pup thrust her head over the side of the boulder just in time and wretched. The hybrid winced in pain as she felt her sides contract and heave up the unwanted food. Allowing her tongue to loll out of her maw unhappily, Pup regretted having ever decided towards making that rotten hare carcass her dinner.
“Curse me and my lazy habits,” the vixen muttered under her breath.
After a moment of sitting upon the rock regretting last night’s actions, she began licking the stone on which she sat—anything to get the taste of vomit out of her tortured mouth.
Abruptly, Pup felt her audits automatically perk upright upon her cranium and tune in to something to the West. Lifting her head, tongue still drooping out over the left side of her lower jaw, the vixen sat upright. It sounded like running water. Lifting her maw to the wind, the vixen took in a deep breath to assure what her audits were hearing. Sure enough, it scented of water. Apparently the melting snow from the mountains was filling the dry creek beds. Perhaps there would be a newcomer there, attracted to the new running water source. Pup sure hoped so, she could use some company after being alone most of the winter in her burrow.

(I'm doing all of my regular characters.) As she felt the breeze that told her to wake up, a young wolf popped her head out of her den. She yawned and streched her body throughly.
The wolf started towords the tall grass and stopped. She sniffed the air to find the unusual scent that had reached her nose. The scent was that of a fox. Or maybe a cat. She couldn't tell, all she knew was that she needed to eat. But what? The strange smelling animal got to her, and Tage walked towords the scent.
When she saw what it was, she almost did backflips. There, sitting a few feet infront of her, was something that looked like a cat, and a fox mixed. She watched it with both eyes, and wanted to advance.
Wretched day! She thought. How can it get any worse? She then began walking closer to the animal. Maybe it wouldn't hurt her... She didn't know.I'll try speaking to it! "Er... um, are you...hi." She said.

Pup immediately swirled around, pelt fluffed and long, full tail raised. The vixen's lips would curl backward to reveal rows of pearly whites. Her russet audits would recline to lay flat upon her cranium. With a series of clicks, her retractable talons would appear out from the fur on her paws and grasp at the stone below. From the boulder, Pup certainly had the advantage. Observing the wolf through her golden flecked orbs curiously, she held her posture. The wolf must have been able to sneak up on her easily; keeping her scent mingled with that of the flora.
"State your name," Pup snarled unsympathetically. She wanted to befriend this creature, but not before making it all too clear that she was NOT breakfast. Or lunch, or dinner, for that matter.

"Hm? Oh, It's Tage." Tage looked silently at the animals teeth.Well, apparently it's a girl. She blinked and stared off behind Pup where she could see a few other animals walking slowly around.~
The three young tigers wandered into the clearing. "Maybe we can sleep here." One of them said. "Yay." another said. "My feet do hurt, Rex." The first one that spoke looked up. "Mine do too, Taj." Rex and Taj looked at the third. She looked the worst. "Oh, Loya, are you okay?" They asked her in unison. Loya nodded and kept walking. The two boys looked at each other and led her into the forest. They stared out of the trees and saw Tage and Pup.~
"Why?" Pup asked, after watching three, and-by the looks of it- baby tigers wander into the forest. She paid them no mind and went back to watching pup.

Pup paused and allowed her attention to wander from Tage and over to the three-- ...Tigers? She vaguely remembered the animals known by the name tiger. There had been a couple of them at the experimental facility where she was genetically engineered. They looked much smaller though, and lost. Why were they heading into the forest all alone and in plain site? It was rumored that the last couple of dragons left on the earth made home there. This was the last place untouched by man, after all. Slowly, Pup allowed her maw to relax, sheathing her fangs, yet she still held her posture.
Damn maternal instincts, she thought to herself irately. Turning her head back to her "opponent", she met the young fae's gaze. It was clear by the look in Pup's golden flecked eyes that she wanted to go after the three, but she couldn't leave this stranger alone here so close to her burrow.

A small fox looked around the area. She cautiosly earged towords an eating deer. The deer bent down and chewed on a bit of grass. Myzu snuck closer. She jumped at the deer. The fight was on. Myzu bit at the deer's ears. The deer kicked her feet violently. One hit Myzu and she fell back, but quickly attacked the deer with full force. Yes, she had one. Myzu pulled the carcass away and lay somewhere safe to devour it.

A raccoon sat in the tree above the three tigers. He stared in the direction they were looking and saw Tage and Pup. He shook his head and returned to his sleeping quarters. Shard was one smart racoon, and he knew better than to stare at Tage and Pup. He didn't know either of their names, but more than once had felt a slight pain. He also knew the two didn't know each other.

Tage looked at Pup. She sighed and started to talk. "So, whats your name?" She stood up and tilted her head in a playful, questioning sort of way.

Pup paused a moment, realizing that she had not yet introduced herself. Allowing her audits to flick upright and out of their aggressive position, she gave her reply. "They call me Pup," She said, her voice chiming elegantly. She showed no fear what-so-ever; this vixen was clearly not one to ever back down once she had her mind set. Pup's legs were starting to ache, after all, she had been standing aggressively this entire time, but she held her pose.
After a small moment of silent debate, the hybrid raised her voice once again. "Those small cat-like creatures that passed by a few moments ago. I believe that they are called tigers," she said, her maw flowing over the foreign word awkwardly. "They're too small and vulnerable to be in these parts all alone-- have you not heard the rumors of two dragons who have settled into the area?"
Pup's talons continued to remain extracted, clinging to the boulder on which she still stood. The crystal droplets of morning dew that had earlier been clinging to the flowering bushes filling the meadow had now evaporated. The sun was already stretching its golden rays across the clearing, outlining Pup's russet pelt majestically.

"I did hear a bit of something." She said. "Look, I can tell your tired of standing like that, go ahead and sit or something. I won't do anything." She looked up before sitting down and waiting patiently.~
The racoon came back out of his hiding place and gulped. Shard walked genuinly towords Pup and Tage. "Um... i still don't quite know your names, but there are three baby tigers watching you." He said "they appear starved and alone." He said.~
Tage looked at him. "Well, don't just stand their, watch them! And my name is Tage. TAGE!" She looked at Pup after he walked off. "He won't quite leave me alone, that one." She stared vigerously in the direction the racoon had stalked off.~
"Rex, whats that?" Taj looked at the racoon as he climed the tree. "It looks scary!" Rex rolled his eyes and sat up, itching like a dog. "That's a racoon!" He said. "Worry about those two!" He nodded in the direction of Pup and Tage. "I know they are dangerous." The two brothers looked at their sister as she groaned. "I need to eat Rex." She whined.~
Myzu victoriosly wandered off after having been satisfied with the deer. As she saw the three starving tigers, she decided they needed the deer more than her. Then, she wandered back to her hiding place and pulled the rest of it's carcass, taking it to them to them. She said nothing and went on her way, towords Tage and Pup.

Pup started to seat herself, yet still keeping her talons unsheathed, when she sensed a fox heading in their direction. Swearing, she resumed her aggressive position. Her maw twisted, curling the lips to reveal pearly whites; long back arched skyward; russet pelt fluffed, doubling her size; audits reclined to lay flat against her cranium; and long, two and a half foot tail stretched upright. Only this time, she faced the approaching fox. Any beast looking upon the cat-fox hybrid like this in their right mind would head for the hills. Pup was a fighter-- she enjoyed whiping the terra with some poor woodland creature who just so happened to piss her off. Everyone was an enemy at first until they could convince her otherwise.
It seemed that helping these starving tigers would have to wait-- at least until she could show these newcomers who was on top of the food chain.
"State your name and business," she snarled through barred fangs.

Myzu stared silently at the hybrid. "You're not the only one who can do that." She said smartly. "But, as it is I was not going to YOU guys." She cooly looked around and sat. "My name is Myzu, and my buisness is none of yours." With that she stood up and trotted off to the other side of Pup and Tage showing no point of fear at all.

Pup's golden flecked eyes churned with irritation-- NO ONE smarted off to her like that. Being a hybrid, her size was about that of a young wolf's. Turning upon the boulder to face the fox who was trotting away with its back to her, Pup launched her lithe body into the air, muscles rippling below her russet pelt. Retracting her talons before leaping, her paws made no noise; her movements were silent. Pup landed right beside the fox, hoping to startle it, and then snapped open her gaping maw. Rows of serrated, pearly whites sparkled in the still morning sun as she went for the vixen's shoulder. Pup's attack happened quickly, if anything it would catch her opponent off guard.
Pup was a born fighter, but it wasn't only her skill that she was known for-- it was her endurance. Her attacks may be weaker than they could be, but the hybrid could easily win a match by wearing out her opponent to exhaustion. Steal claws flashed dissonantly in the lighting as Pup used her left paw to swipe at the side of the fox's neck while her mouth went for the shoulder. It was only by luck that the fox would get away from both attacks.
"Listen you little whelp," Pup snarled while she attacked. "This is my territory, and when I ask you a question you will f**k**g answer."

Myzu beared the attacks well. She looked at the hybrid. "Yeah?" She said. She bent down and beared her teeth. The fox's tail twitching with anger. She was quite swift to attack at Pups legs and face. Hard blows and almost as swift as the hybrid. "Don't you tell me what I can and can't do!" She growled and relaxed. "I have to be going somewhere, if you'll please excuse me." She began to walk but turned around. "And my name is Myzu, like I said, and my buisness is that of a very wounded friend of mine whom needs help." She looked around. "By the way, nice fighting techniques, I shall like to train with you if we are to become aquantences." She waited for her to reply.
Tage looked at the two and sat patiently. her tail flipped and she scratched like a puppy.
